Tree Cutting Notice

Information Bulletin

Under the City of Vancouver's new Clearcut By-Law No. 7347, this tree has been slated for termination. Don't worry, a replacement tree will be planted in its place and it should reach maturity in about 50 years.

Reason for Cutting Down This Tree (Check One):

Ecological hazard – big old tree with too many leaves to rake.
Clearcut beautification project.
Need wood fibre for more citizen-involvement lip-service brochures.
Dripped sap on the windshield of a Mercedes.
Property developer is an NPA campaign contributer.
Space needed for high-income occupancy vehicle (HIOV) lane.
Obscuring spectacular view of hi-rise condo towers.
Fuel for Deputy Mayor George Puil's fireplace.
So many trees, so little time.
Test of newly contracted-out city clearcutting services.
Because it's there (and NPA said it could be cut).
Building a bike path (which will be expropriated for cars after one week).
Require more parking space for Mayor Philip Owen.
It supports wards.

For more information about logging in your neighbourhood, please contact: Mayor Philip Owen at 871-6378.
